Bohemian Cinema is almost exclusively written and produced by Jonathan Pacheco, a Dallas-area resident.
Currently a web designer, Jonathan’s uninteresting interests span the realms of good vegetarian (and occasionally vegan) food, bad teen soaps, and naps filled with lucid dreams. The boy also moonlights as one of the founding members of the web design team known as Pixel Bodega. He can be found frequenting the Dallas theaters—from the mainstream to the quasi-indie—where he battles obnoxious teens with a powerful, disapproving glare and an all-too-empty Moleskine.
Want to let Jonathan know what you think about something he wrote, or even better, offer free DVDs or paying gigs? Maybe you want him to stop referring to himself in the third person. Hit him up at pacheco@bohemiancinema.com. He tries to reply to most emailers who aren't trying to scam him or sell him something.
A portion of the articles and reviews on this site end with the label, “E:LM,” indicating that the piece was edited by Laura Miller. You’ll notice that these articles tend to be of higher quality, thanks to the help of this good friend and copywriter who makes time to voluntarily edit as many Bohemian Cinema articles as she can.
Consider this site to be a 1.0 product. There will be bugs, and many “features” are missing from the old site, such as a simple search feature or a half-decent way to organize the archives. Instead of implementing what I considered to be a sub-par user experience, I decided to hold off on some of those features. They will come soon, though, so hang in there as I implement them (and as I also work to get better assets—namely, higher resolution pictures).
Also note that, as part of a philosophical change, I removed many old entries from the old site. Status updates, pointless and irrelevant rants—if I couldn’t feel proud enough to have it linked to, I didn’t want it on the site. So if you find dead links, chances are they once linked to those weak entries. In that case, what should you do?
Any glitches, bugs, or issues that do not have anything to do with Internet Explorer? Once again, that email address: pacheco@bohemiancinema.com.
Enjoy,
Jonathan
